The School of Ocean Science at Sun Yat-Sen University (SYSU) and the Department of Ocean Science (OCES) at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) co-organized a study trip focusing on Guangdong-Hong Kong marine environment and resource investigation at Zhuhai from 18 April to 22 April 2019. In the exchange program at Sun Yat-Sen University, around 20 students and faculty staffs from SYSU and HKUST visited Guangdong Pearl River Estuary Chinese White Dolphin National Nature Reserve, Zhuhai Qi'ao Dangandao Provincial Nature Reserve, Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge and some companies related to aquaculture and remote control vehicles for marine environmental monitoring.

This Zhuhai study tour hosted by Sun Yat-Sen University under "Ten Thousand Talent Program" enhanced OCES students' understanding on development of marine technology and marine conservation in Zhuhai and offered opportunities for knowledge and cultural exchange between students in both Hong Kong and mainland.
